California Guard Card Requirements
To receive a California guard card and register as a security guard in California, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete a criminal background check through the DOJ and FBI
- Finish a 40-hour training course
- Complete the state-mandated 16F assessment before applying for a BSIS Firearms Permit
